Well, if you get the time to make a standalone test case, I will  try
figure out what is going on.

If you get a chance maybe you could try running your app in one of the
nightly builds, that might be yield a clue...
we've fixed a number of things in trunk since the 4.2 branch was
forked, although I don't recall many
changes to the data loader code in swf8.
