After another round of MAX and no fix for the infamous FP-40 bug, someone started an online petition on the case:

http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP-40

And Adobe employee commented today:
I cannot comment on future release or version numbers of the release but this bug will likely be fixed in the next major update of the Player. Its a MAJOR CHANGE IN THE PRODUCT but rest assured it is being addressed. I will update the bug once we post the fix.

Funny to say that support of input of non-ascii characters on a very common OS is a major change in the product. Wonder what's the huge difference between the OpenSolaris and the Linux Flash Player....

Adobe Flash Player 9/10 has no complete support for non-latin languages like Russian, Greek, German, etc.

There is open bug *for years* without any progress:

Many developers has been spent *months* to find the solution and as result decide to switch to JavaFX or Silverlight technologies.

So, dear Adobe, fix FP-40 issue asap.
