I've searched quite a bit and done some experimenting with this... but
no success nor definite answer yet. Can RGBA images (e.g., PNG) be
used as a view resource and have the alpha transparency work as
expected, such that the underlying view is visible in the transparent
areas? I would be really surprised (and disappointed!) if this was not
possible. Hopefully the method has simply eluded me this far. Flash
supports image transparency, right?
And yes, I'm aware of the 'opacity' view attribute, but that is not the
same thing, as that simply adjusts the opacity of the whole view contents.
