One thing you can do in non-debug mode is use an explicit try-catch to see
an error
try {
parent.soChat.send("write", "this is the test");
} catch (e) {
canvas.notification.addMessage("error","calling
send"+e);
}
Maybe that could narrow down which call is failing and with what error?
