Thanks Raju, but I am not interested in AIR because I like the distribution model of browser based software. With that I mean application that does not require an install and always uses the most up-to-date version.
If I would like to make desktop apps I would use java, no questions asked.
But because I thought year and half ago that flash environment would be less troublesome than java applet
I chose OpenLaszlo. Now I am not so sure anymore if that was a wise move...

Hi Rami,

maybe you'd like to join the OpenLaszlo-on-AIR effort at the Mobile
OpenLaszlo project. We have a complete build script generating an AIR
app out of OpenLaszlo. I've been testing that for the Adobe AIR for
Android prerelease, but you can easily generate a desktop app as well
- with a small modification of the build script (actually 2-3 lines).

Here's a video of the generation process: http://vimeo.com/14014507

Quirino is currently working on a tutorial for generating an AIR app,
I've cc'ed him. Actually I'd be interested in building an LZX
component for multiple screen support, maybe we can join forces here.

Best,
Raju

  Hi,

This is just an enquiry.
I would need my app to work in multiple monitors.
And I suppose that this is not possible in flash (only AIR supports
NativeWindow class).

Do you think that this is a state of affairs that will never change because
of some obscure security reasons?

If it is so then it is clear that it will probably never be part of OL
either because it can not be implemented in flash.
Do you think this could be implemented in browser-runtime? Opening new
browser window without decorations or something like that.

It seems the best way to make serious cross-platform applications that are
distributed by browser are still java applets ... still.
