i'm trying to install latex2html in my home directory and i'm running:
   - solaris 2.6,
   - teTeX 0.4 update 008 with latex 3.14159 (C version 6.1),

   - dvips 5.76
   - ghostscript 5.10
   - giftool 1.0
   - netpbm 1 mar 1994 p1
   - latex2html 98-1 p1

NOTE: the last five packages are installed in my home directory and the
path to them is set.

i'm trying to translate a latex document that has been successfully
translated to postscript format. i've found some difficulties:

 1) i couldn't get images translated (i got white rectangles) till i
    modified the following line in pstoimg:

  open (GS, "|$GS $quiet -sDEVICE=$GS_DEVICE $size $density $aalias $outfile");

    by deleting parameter $size:

  open (GS, "|$GS $quiet -sDEVICE=$GS_DEVICE $density $aalias $outfile");

    at this time, images appear acceptably although there are some white
  pixels spreaded around some images.

    i think this is not a 'clean' way to get a solution but it works.

 2) after translating the document, i get some warnings:

       couldn't convert character inodot into available encodings
       couldn't convert character inodot into available encodings

       ...

       couldn't convert character inodot into available encodings
       Unknown commands: vdash dashv

    the first warning appears about 30 times! and about the unknown
commands warnings i should say that that commands are used in the
document but they seem to be translated without problems.

  3) finally, i got the following sequence while translating:

     .
     .
     .

     ,,,,Arguments to x are too complex ...
     It will not be processed unless used in another environment
     which is passed to LaTeX whole for processing.
     ,,,Arguments to x are too complex ...
     It will not be processed unless used in another environment
     which is passed to LaTeX whole for processing.
     ,,++....
     UNKNOWN COMMAND: fmtname ...
     UNKNOWN COMMAND: csname .
     UNKNOWN COMMAND: fmtname ...
     UNKNOWN COMMAND: csname
     @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

     .
     .
     .

     the commands 'fmtname' and 'csname' are used in a figure that is not
created. what should i have to do in order to latex2html can find these
commnads? where could be defined?

Any idea or suggestion or comment will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
