There is no new release yet, but I just discovered (after 2 years!) that
the pages
I uploaded at my site are still missing some images! So, I'm now trying
to track down
what what went wrong!
I'm using latex2html 98.2 beta 8, on a Linux machine, all the test files
are also
available at ftp://ftp.aczone.com/pub/misc/manytab.zip
I've this latex input file, which has 5 tables in it, each of which
fits in a single printed page (letter size).
I need to have each table come out as a single image after latex2html,
so I've surrounded each longtable with makeimage.
I can successfully run latex and dvips on this.
It seems to me there is some problem with images.tex, it produces 5
pages, but a message from latex2html states that it is processing only 3
images. Out of those 3, two turn out to be blank, which cause pnmcrop to
core dump.
>From investigating images.tex, I noticed that it inserted an empty page
before my first table, and then another empty page later on. Also,
images.tex only contains 3 of my original 5 makeimages, it is entirely
missing 2 of the tables! I can't figure out why two of them are no
longer there...
Another problem arose when I tried to use htmlonly.
I tried to use \begin{htmlony} to see if I could keep the entire
table as a single longtable for latex, and break it into 5 for
latex2html
only, but it seems as if the table heading characters like "&" or maybe
"[]" are characters that the htmlonly environment cannot skip over...
Any help appreciated, thanks!
I've uploaded a ZIP archive of my input file, and the latex2html output
on my Linux machine, if that will help.
ftp://ftp.aczone.com/pub/misc/manytab.zip
The input file is manytab.tex, and the directory manytab contains the
latex2html output on my machine.
