Hi there

you read my mind Ross ;-)

Yup, but how many people use section numbering in the html-code?
However, this poses some interesting implications for setting up the
next-previous-up-icons. At least in a framed environment, the calling
document could provide a suitable frameset which references the correct
table of content as well as the right file, while retaining the local
icon-bar. Hmmh, this opens up a whole lot of possibilities, for
context sensitive navigating of linked documents. But I should say
that this was not the idea in the beginning....
Ross> Certainly it would be a usefull command for the interweaving

definetly true. BTW interweaving: If one uses the new frame features,
one needs a way to define the TARGET parameter for all $EXTERNAL_lINK
variables set in the ini-files. Otherwise one ends up fixing "main" to
"_top" all day long.
Ross> What about cross-references ? Part of the expansion of

sounds fascinating -- distributed living documents.....
Cheers
