ok, I've tried out 99.2b6 and it does fix the problems I reported with
99.2b5
unfortunately, a problem that Ross fixed some time ago has resurfaced
refer to the section of the manual that has the example I submitted
when Ross worked on it before:

specifically the subsection on minipage environments
I'm *so* glad you dropped this into the manual, Ross - made it much
easier to just grab that bit of code to demonstrate the problem
attached find a gzipped tar file containing basically that bit of
code, but with a little makefile for processing, as well as the html
that I get out of 99.2b6 - it will untar into the current dir
sorry to throw a wrench into the release plans... better to find stuff
now, though, I guess...
