Thanks, but i mean something different.

When i use (in document preamble; actually, in style file)
\renewcommand{\flqq}{``}
\renewcommand{\frqq}{''}
and then in TeX source something like

text text text \flqq
text\frqq\ text text

it is translated to

text text text ``
text'' text text 

and CR in the first line gives unnecessary visible space.
