I forced my .html document to display the PostScript figures.
Here are the changes for this particular example.
Original output from the "latex2html" command, that gave me the
caption with no figure
WIDTH="15" HEIGHT="15" ALIGN="BOTTOM" BORDER="0"
SRC="img5.gif"
ALT="$v$">.</CAPTION>
<TR><TD><IMG
WIDTH="382" HEIGHT="384" BORDER="0" SRC="fig1=0.5"
SRC="img17.gif"
ALT="\begin{figure}\centering
{\epsffile{/usr/people/hr17/Technical/Envelopes/figint.ps}}
\vspace{.5in}
\end{figure}"></TD></TR>
</TABLE>
</DIV><P></P>
Fixed output from trial an error on the previous text, but gave me the
figure
with caption:
WIDTH="15" HEIGHT="15" ALIGN="BOTTOM" BORDER="0"
SRC="img5.gif"
ALT="$v$">.</CAPTION>
<TR><TD>
<a href=""><img SRC="img17.gif" height=384 width=382>
</TD></TR>
</TABLE>
</DIV><P></P>
This is only for the inclusion of PostScript figures, I have no any
other problems.
The question is how to modify the source latex2html file so it does
this HTML syntax any time a PostScript file is included.
Unfortunatelly I do not know HTML programming (and that is exactly why
I am using latex2html), neither I do know PERL programming.
I will do trial an error in the latex2html source, but this might
take me long time and might not work.
I would appreciate any help on this matter.
