It looks suspiciously like the graphics.perl package has inserted
something not-quite balanced in images.tex
I can't tell from your message which version of l2h you're using,
and whether it's the original graphics.perl, the version I hacked up,
or my lastest version (that I doubt).
The latex error doesn't make clear what tex is in images.tex, though.
Could you find the snippet from your original source that's causing
the problem (presumably something with \includegraphics...{belA-s.ps} ),
and the corresponding section from images.tex ?
That would help narrow it down.
