[l2h] "" in html

When %-signs are at the end of a line in mathematics-mode, e.g. produced automatically by Scientific Workplace like in the following LaTeX-code:

\begin{array}{c}
z_{1} \\
\vdots \\
z_{n}%
\end{array}

I get the following ugly output after running l2h:

(Rendered html see attached gif - the background colour is an artifact, was originally grey in the png).

Is this a known bug (weakness) of l2h?
