thanks a lot for the patch, it will take some time until I can apply
it, because unfortunately I am still using 1.67 after experiencing
problems with graphicx generation in 1.68 (does not convert any
graphics), while 1.67 does everything as intended.
For info: I use Win2k with GS 7.04, gnuwin32 netpbm 9.25, MiKTeX 2.1,
and could not yet figure out where the problem with 1.68 is, verbosity
4 gave no helpful output on this. 1.67 runs without problems. 1.68 says:
