I was wondering, has any thought been given to the use of the CSS style attribute "overflow" in tables to do a better job of converting the tabbing environment? Currently I understand that latex2html uses a <pre> environment and uses spaces to do the tabs. Using the css overflow attribute, a fixed layout table can be used, and then tab stops will just correspond to new columns. At least thats my understanding of how overflow works.
