Progress!!
I have taken out the -ldump option from the command line in my makefile.
Images are now produced.
Aaah; that's interesting.
I'm not sure why this worked just fine with previous versions of latex.
Probably the commands that ldump.sty uses to create the specialised format file need to be changed for the later version of teTeX, or maybe it's a question of where the .fmt file is placed.
Are you re-using an old document, and trying to use a previously \dump'd format ? That will certainly fail with a different TeX engine running LaTeX.
Or maybe the variable in texmf.cnf isn't allowing the working directory to be searched for formats.
Evidence of these problems should show up in images.log .
But, I'll live with image regeneration for now :) I really just want to to start to work...
Of course. But if you can completely solve the problem anytime, please let me know so I can implement the necessary fixes.
I am still having an output problem, seems that I'm getting extra, blank, images in the file. I think this might just be a macro problem in my source. I'll have a look ... but, tomorrow :) Getting too late here. Funny(?) that this all worked so well until I upgraded :)
Strange how that can happen. :-)
BTW, teTeX 3.0 is a *major* upgrade to TeX. It's not a step to be taken lightly, if you are used to doing things even just a little out-of-the-ordinary.
Cheers,
Ross
Thanks!
