I have been having some trouble with the background color on some of the PNG files I get from pstoimg. I am converting color PS files. Some of the output PNG images will have a purple or orange background, which is not present in the original PS file. There is no error output. The exact command line I've been using is:
pstoimage -density 600 filename.ps I have found that if I leave the default density (72) the images that end up with the orange/purple background will convert fine...but unfortunately I need them at the higher resolution. But the problem seems to occur from specifing a high DPI for the output PNG files. PS files with more color also seem to be more suseptible to the problem. While some PS files convert with no problems. I've included the link to a couple of files for reference. this PS file converts with not trouble: http://www4.ncsu.edu/~mpborkow/cross_T-12.ps this PS file converts to an image with an orange background: http://www4.ncsu.edu/~mpborkow/cross_T-00.ps here is an example of the resulting orange background image: http://www4.ncsu.edu/~mpborkow/cross_T-00.png I don't have a lot of linux knowledge, and I'm working on a University cluster so I did not install or configure pstoimg myself. But if you tell me where to look, I'll try to provide any config files that would be helpful to you. Thank you!
