Hello. Using the year-2002 version of LaTeXHTML version 1.70 in the ouput,
.html file I have horizontal, black, line segments under what correspond to
probably \dot{\vec{r}} and \dot{\vec{v}} in the corresponding LaTeX, .tex file
for some equations. I saw the unwanted, black, line segments in a Konqueror Web
browser. The command \dot{x} corresponds to a dot above the variable x, which
in turn corresponds to the time derivative of x. Last year I followed Shigeharu
Takeno's kindly provided advice of commenting out the line reading
$DVIPSOPT.= " -Ppdf";
in the LaTeX configuration file l2hconf.pm. I probably still have that line
commented out. That got rid of some unwanted, black, line segments last year
associated with some Portable Network Graphics (PNG) images. But last year I
probably did not try to put a dot on top of a vector symbol, as in
\dot{\vec{r}}. I have been using a latex2html command of the form "latex2html
-nonavigation -no_math -html_version 3.2,math -split 0 Myfile.tex," with
Myfile.tex being a fictitious, .tex file name. How can I get rid of the
unwanted, black, line segments this time? If necessary, as a "workaround"
solution I could probably use the d/dt notation instead of the dot notation for
the time derivative.
