Hello Jim, I am updating the French manual with your updates from rev481 --- I had overlooked them until now, and I came accross this statement:
--8<----8<----8<----8<----8<-- begin -->8---->8---->8---->8---->8---- @LaTeX{} writes the information from the labels to a file with the same name as the file containing the @code{\label@{...@}} but with an @file{.aux} extension. --8<----8<----8<----8<----8<-- end -->8---->8---->8---->8---->8---- I understand this as if when the input is split in N .tex files, and you have N \label commands, one in each file, then you would have N .aux files with the corresponding \newlabel commands. I am surprised, as I thought that there is one single .aux file, named \jobname.aux, where \jobname is a macro expanding to the basename of the master .tex file, or to some name passed on the command line with the -jobname option if any. Please tell me if I am wrong. VBR, Vincent --- L'absence de virus dans ce courrier électronique a été vérifiée par le logiciel antivirus Avast. https://www.avast.com/antivirus
