In Dublin, there were several reports of the Launchpad build process failing on Oneiric due to weird problems with PIL (python-imaging). That package didn't have its zip_encoder and zip_decoder.
Marc Tardif filed bug 806661 and found the basic problem, which was that the python-imaging setup.py needed to modified to search multiarch directories. I worked up a patch and just uploaded a new version of python-imaging for Oneiric. As soon as that lands, you should be able to build Launchpad again. Please let me know how it goes! Cheers, -Barry
