The change proposed above has landed and the daily reports have been generated (https://devpad.canonical.com/~lpqateam/ppr/lpnet/latest-daily-pageids.html). The wide array of available JQuery extensions (and in this case the JQuery.appear plugin) is to thank for this ;).
