Hi Everyone, For those of you I met in Budapest, I hope you had a worthwhile trip and a safe journey back home. It was great to match up faces and names, to chat, work and drink with so many of you.
I've been on the Launchpad team for around the 3 month mark now, and something I really want to get more involved with is the Launchpad blog. I really enjoy reading your posts and learning more about the different projects everyone is working on, and to find out about all the achievements, goals and problems that you and the rest of the team face. If you're an active blogger, please let me know if I can lend a hand by helping form a narrative, breaking up an awkward phrase or writing something highly technical into something more accessible. Even if you just want a second pair of eyes for a final scan/proof read, I'm here to help. If you'd prefer to carry on without any input from me, that's fine too - I don't want to be any kind of blocker to getting posts out there, I just want to make it clear that I'm available if needed. If you've never blogged before, get in touch! As your new 'Communications Specialist', writing and editing is one of my primary skills. I'd like you to feel comfortable enough to come to me with any ideas you've got for a blog post - however abstract they may be. They can be rough ideas or bullets that you want bulking up, to a long draft that you want editing down to size. We do lots of great work in Launchpad that deserves celebrating. We also have lots of issues that need fixing - having a blog helps raise awareness and community involvement, which after all, is what we're all here for.
