This change has now landed in stable and devel. To use the version of ec2 in lp-dev-utils, you'll need an up-to-date bzr-pqm (which I've placed in the Launchpad PPA), and possibly the python-tz package. Please let me know if you encounter any difficulties. Bugs should now be filed against lp-dev-utils, rather than launchpad.
