As UDS continues to grow, this has started to cause problems with being able to schedule meetings properly to allow the people who are truly required to be at a meeting. One of the ways that we are working to solve this is that in Summit, we are no longer taking Participation Essential as required. In order to be required for a meeting, a user will have to be added as required by either the meeting creator, a track lead, manager, or event scheduler. We are now using Participation Essential from Launchpad as a "very interested" category, and will attempt to adjust the schedule to where both the Required set of people and the Very Interested set of people will be available for the meeting. With this change, I would like to change the wording for the Participation Essential check box to something that better explains a "very interested in this topic" instead of saying that someone is essential for this topic. Prior to making the change that I would like to make, I feel that I should investigate the current usage of this checkbox to see if there is anything else that uses it where the text change would negatively effect that usage. Again, the changes I want to make are text only and related to the checkbox for what is currently "Participation Essential" when subscribing to blueprints.
