In reply to "just link to the Ubuntu information": I just looked at the https://help.ubuntu.com/community/GnuPrivacyGuardHowto link, and it is the same as https://help.launchpad.net/ImportingYourOpenPGPKey?action=show was, i.e., it does not help users of software FROM launchpad, it only helps the folks putting info INTO launchpad.
