MPT, *please* give us some positive feedback. Ted Felix and Matthew Revell have made some valid points. I have asked some genuine questions:
o When I do not understand something, where [in the UI] do I look for help? If there is no place, please confirm this issue. o Do you have context-related help available? If so, how do I find it? MPT, you wrote: > You shouldn't need to read any "user guide" before using Launchpad. True. That should be the goal, and it actually works - most of the time. However, there are valid reasons to look for documentation, even for a well-designed UI. For example, when I encounter an apparent issue, before reporting the issue I want to read documentation, to confirm that I understood correctly how it should have worked and that it actually is an open issue. > If you do, Launchpad needs fixing. Even with a well-designed UI, there can always be users "on the wrong track", at least occasionally so, myself included. A link to documentation can help them to get back on track more effectively. -- No link to help.launchpad.net from launchpad.net https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/288846 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Launchpad Documentation Team, which is subscribed to Launchpad Documentation. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~launchpad-doc Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~launchpad-doc More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
