Discussion between Julian Edwards and Matthew Revell identified the
following necessary updates for the PPA tour page:
* Use cases for PPAs:
* testing
* backports
* customised versions of software that upstream won't take
* Consider alternatives to "APT repository" -- or use tooltip help
* "Search PPAs >" to become "Browse PPAs >"
* Icon for PPAs to come -- check with Martin
* Boxes below the fold: rewrite and add mention of multiple PPAs plus P3As.
* Find a better example of a PPA -- scrub the now defunct CMPC
* Consider getting some graphics for below the fold
* Consider new header graphic: stylised life-cycle --- dev --> upload --> PPA
builds --> people download and install/use software
* Text rewrite: emphasise ease of building and distribution -- LP does the
hard work for you.
* PPAs empower the individual developer -- *anyone* can publish a package at
*any* time.
