Thanks for the hint, the problem was indeed just that I was targeting
hardy in the changelog, but with "incoming =
~toobaz/toobaz/ubuntu/karmic" in .dput.cf: I had read somewhere - but
not on the official documentation - that the release targeted in the
changelog, if pertaining to Ubuntu, had priority; seems like it was
wrong: using another profile in .dput.cf solved my problem.
