Thanks for this massive delete. The red is pleasing.
My only suggestion is around the email wording. In the effort of keeping things
simple I'd leave out the bits about reasoning. I'd also move the usage of the
webui up so that it's more prominent in the text. So for example I'd suggest
something like:
Launchpad no longer accepts merge directives, we apologise for the
inconvenience.
You may create merge proposals using the Launchpad website or from the
command
line using "bzr lp-propose-merge". This command is from the launchpad
plugin
which usually ships with Bazaar.
