Summary: I have a branch from a vcs-import of a product that has been renamed (and moved to a different location in its Subversion repository) upstream. I would like the product to be renamed and the vcs-import to be moved, but retain the old history so that I can merge Ubuntu changes across the product rename. Is this possible, and which set of Launchpad administrators do I need to talk to in order to make it happen?
Details: The d-i component "prebaseconfig" was recently renamed to "finish-install", since recent structural changes in the way the installer works meant that the old name had become at best misleading. In the process, it was moved from svn://svn.debian.org/d-i/trunk/packages/prebaseconfig to svn://svn.debian.org/d-i/trunk/packages/finish-install. I have local changes to the prebaseconfig package in Ubuntu. (As it happens, I think they were all backports and can therefore be replaced by syncing the new finish-install package in verbatim, but that's just coincidence and isn't really the point; I'd still like to know how I should deal with this situation in general.) I therefore have a bzr branch from the vcs-import of prebaseconfig. My ideal end situation is for the prebaseconfig product to be renamed to finish-install in Launchpad, for its main series to point to the new location in Subversion (which was created using 'svn mv' from the old location), and for the vcs-import of finish-install to contain the full history across the rename. Is this at all possible? Thanks, -- Colin Watson [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- launchpad-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/launchpad-users
