Ideally this would be part of a more comprehensive "taint check" when reporting a bug. We want to detect things like: - Is the package is an official Ubuntu package or one from a third-party source? - Does the package pass an integrity check, such as md5sums of installed files? - Is the package the most current version on the user's chosen branch? and direct the user to more appropriate actions than attempting a bug report in Launchpad. These checks are straightforward to add to the proposed client-side bug reporting tool, for which we need new functionality in Launchpad (the ability to submit extra information to be attached to the bug). -- - mdz -- launchpad-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/launchpad-users
