Hello Scott. Yeah, Launchpad does create accounts when your name is credited with a translation or a package upload, and historically, when your name was tied to an Ubuntu Bugzilla account -- we basically just want to ensure we credit you for work you actually did. That's an easy one to solve -- instead of deleting, Launchpad allows merging. I've done this for you now, and you should be credited to your account with all work done on both.
