Hey Tom I'm sending a copy of this to the launchpad-users mailing list because the issue of spam will probably become more prevalent as the support system gains popularity. The instances you point out are annoying but this could definitely lead to a more troubling scenario where the system is used for commercial promotion and to generate links.
What I'd like to know is if there are any plans to allow for the removal of bug/support comments (much the way reports/requests can be rejected). I'm thinking something along the lines of a moderation system where it takes more than one person to flag something as inappropriate before it is removed. I'd be interested to hear if anyone thinks this functionality would be useful or whether or not this is already under development.
