AOMdesign, At what point in the process are you getting error 10? During the driver install? While trying to detect the card in MAX? While trying to run a program that calls the driver?
If you get the error during the install and you are installing off a CD, I suggest copying the CD's contents to the hard drive and installing from there. That usually takes care of installer errors. Also, be sure that the card is NOT in the computer while installing the software. If the card was in the computer while doing the driver install, uninstall the driver, shut down and remove the card, reboot and install the driver, then power down and reinsert the card, then power back up. These are two of the most common installation fixes. If something else is causing the error or if those suggestions do not fix the issue, please post details of where the error is occuring and what you have already tried here so it can be discussed further.
