How do I configure AI Sample Channels.vi to output data as a 1-D array?

Hi,

I'm using AI Sample Channels.vi to aquire analog data (4 channels).
Help file says this vi was polymorphic, being able to provide data as
a 1-D array, too. But all I get out of this vi is an array of
waveforms which I have to modify manually.
Any ideas how I could make this vi output a 1-D data array?
