I just wrote a little vi to test what are you talking about!
1- I have the following questions/problems
Q1. Using the IMAQ Reference - Writing a new image to the property "value"
does not seem to work. Workaround is to make a Global Variable of the image
control.
You are right on this, I had seen this before but I use local variable and voila!
Q2: How does IMAQ Wind Draw - which uses the "Window Number" reference work
with the new property node and global variable image reference?
I don't understand this question, sorry! Please elaborate
Q3: I am attempting to erase an ROI - it does not work using the new
property node "Clear ROI"
Right click on the control create invoke node and select clear ROI, that is it, it works, tested
Q4: Can anyone send me an example of simply clearing an ROI - without
erasing an image? It is possible?
Sure I can send you this test, but it is as simple as above
Q5: Has anyone actually tested this stuff?
(Yes I have, well I did just now!:)

An NI Rep asked me recently "Where's the love Jack?" Well, I am wondering
that too…
I am using new IMAQ 6.1 and have a few issues:
Firstly Cudos for the new references – IMAQ is starting to look like
mainstream LabVIEW code.
Where are examples for using new IMAQ features? Image References etc.
I have the following questions/problems

number - how does one establish the IMAQ window number for the new control
type window that resides in the front panel?
Window=0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,…etc does not seem to work.

Q5: Has anyone actually tested this stuff?
I've searched the examples and documentation for Vision 6.1 and can't find
any cogent examples of the reference usage and limitation? What gives..Where
's the Love?
