Hi List, A little while back I had problems with a Windows XP system pausing. Some suggested I check to see if the IMAQ card was sharing interrupts or if there was any spy ware on the computer. Well after trying everything to do with the computer hardware and operating system (even threatening it with a really big hammer didn't help), I found the problem lay in the LabVIEW code. I had set just a couple of VI's to High Priority and setting these back to Normal Priority fixed the problem. Why this caused the problem I have no idea since the processor was only being used about 50% of its capacity, so you would think it would have plenty of time to handle mouse events on the IMAQ window. Anyhow here is one person who wont be messing around with priority levels for a little while to come.
