Jason, thanks for your reply!  I took a first try at looking at the
commands with a serial port monitor (a software RS-232 sniffer) and
tried some of those strings as VISA Writes with limited success.  Are
there any good tutorials or examples out there for developing serial
drivers?  Regards, Joe
