Ben, Make sure you have admin permission on the machine running the Connection Manager. Or more specifically permission to write to the project directory under LabVIEW install (default location: C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.0\project\).
The reason is that the SIT Connection Manager attempts to create a temp file in the directory for model tree and fails if permission is denied. Thanks Sumit Garg LabVIEW R&D
