White House disavows Democrat's tactics
The White House disavowed a Democratic National Committee official Monday
who said he was digging up dirt on Republicans who would be involved in any
impeachment proceedings against President Bill Clinton. White House
spokesman Joe Lockhart insisted there was little the White House could do to
rein in Bob Mulholland, who is the top party official from California. "I
don't know what the White House can do," Lockhart said. "But we've said very
clearly that we don't see looking into people's lives as appropriate and
certainly is not relevant to what this president is here to do in
Washington."
No siree, this Whitehouse would never get involved in digging up dirt.
