Sue Hartigan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> writes: BOULDER, Colorado (CNN) -- A grand jury is to be seated on Wednesday to sort through evidence in the still unresolved case of 6-year-old JonBenet Ramsey, the child beauty queen who was found dead in the basement of her parent's home on December 26, 1996. The grand jury procedure was requested last month by Boulder District Attorney Alex Hunter, and lead investigator Mark Beckner said the panel was needed to complete the police investigation. Hunter has requested a formal written and oral presentation of the Ramsey case from the Boulder police department. Despite 16 months of investigation, there have been no arrests. John and Patricia Ramsey, once described as "a focus of the investigation," strongly deny any involvement in the death of their daughter. They refused to be interviewed by police for four months and now decline a second interview. Police also have never been able to interview JonBenet Ramsey's brother, Burke. The grand jury can summon witnesses who will then be required to answer all questions -- except in those cases where there is a constitutional right not to do so. -- Two rules in life: 1.
