Sue Hartigan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> writes: COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 17 (UPI) _ Prosecutors are accusing a former music and performing arts teacher of seducing a 16-year-old student. Beth Strandberg, 26, went on trial today on two counts of felony sexual battery before Judge David Cain in Columbus. In opening statements, prosecutors promised to describe sexual contact that allegedly took place in a Columbus park between the former Columbus Alternative High School teacher and the boy. They said evidence will show Strandberg's conduct indicated her desire to seduce the teenager. If Strandberg is convicted, she would face up to four years in prison. The charges specifically refer to an alleged sexual relationship that started in February 1996 between Strandberg and the unidentified teenager. During a pretrial conference, prosecutors indicated they would introduce into evidence receipts from a Columbus hotel at which the two stayed. -- May the leprechauns be near you to spread luck along your way.
