Mornin',
Now...back to the real important story. ; (
If all Starr can indict Hubbell on is tax charges ( see U.S. vs. Alphonse Capone)
why
wasn't the case turned over to the IRS. I would think that they would be the proper
authority to handle such matters. The tapes are not new and have been in the hands of
prosecutors for awhile. It mighty unseemly that Burton chose to release his edited
version

on the same day the indictment came down. It stinks of a highly biased and political
witch

hunt that can only undermine the investigation itself.
Reno's vote of confidence in Starr may hide the fact that Starr and his right wing
supporters are doing more good for the president than harm. I belive if the mid-term
elections were held today the Democrates would retake the House and Senate.
If Starr indicts Monica or Hillary or even if there is enough evidence against
Clinton
to start impeachment hearings I don't believe a jury would convict or the House to act
on
impeachment. So, in essence we have an investigation that goes nowhere and produces
very
little. The Houe and Senate leadership have insured through their obsession with
getting
the goods on a very popular president that this term has been a wash and nothing got
accomplished. Is this what we want from our leadership? Are they doing the job they
were
elected to do? I think not. It is obvious that Clinton has won every major battle and
soon
the war. The GOP should rethink it's position and it's own leadership and put the
people
first and get on with a positive agenda that benefits the people. Gingrich's attempt to
hold the people hostage in his personel agenda regarding the president will in fact
hasten
his own doom and perhaps that of the GOP itself.
...Mac
