-=Today's Puzzle:
In order to establish meaningful dialogue with the inhabitants,
it would be helpful to know who is speaking truthfully and who
is not. With this in mind, Apollo, perplexed after his meeting
with three Hyperboreans, decides on a slightly different tack.
He approaches three more inhabitants and directs his attention
to one of them, hoping for a more lucid response this time.
The three are known to be a Sororean, who always speaks
truthfully; a Nororean, who always speaks falsely; and a
Midrorean, who makes statements that are alternately true
and false, but in which order is not known.
Apollo, much to his consternation, receives this response:
A: 1. I am not the Sororean.
2. B is not the Nororean.
3. C is not the Midrorean.
Can you determine which of the three is the Sororean, which
is the Nororean and which is the Midrorean?*

Happy St Patrick's Day! -
E I N R
N R E I
R N I E
I E R N
This was the most common solution, though there are at least
two more.
