Thank mattias but i had restarted X server many times and reboot the
computer but the problem still occurs
in this case, only lazarus IDE hangs/bug perhaps it is a gtk problem...??

I had similar issues under ubuntu after updates. Other applications
like Mozilla had freezes/crashes too until I restarted X.
The Lazarus IDE hang/freeze when starting any messages boxes (eg
search/find message box, about message box).
Nothing done when pressing any buttons OK or Cancel in the
interface...
There is no way to stop the IDE . the only one solution to stop the
process is to kill process.
I have upgraded 0.9.24 to nearest snapshot 0.9.25 but the problem
still occurs...
Is there anybody has found a solution....???? currently, i cannot
develop help !
