I think that just writing lcl or vcl is too unspecific. Google for lcl / vcl. In the first page there is almost nothing about what you are actually tring to say with lcl / vcl. Also see the news about those terms...
That's why in TIOBE they search for "Pascal Programming Language" for example. Here is an attempt to do a better search: http://google.com/trends?q=Gtk%2C+Borland+Delphi%2C+Free+Pascal%2C+Lazarus&ctab=0&geo=all&date=all&sort=2 "Free Pascal" searches staying more or less the same and "Borland Delphi" searches falling stopless. Lazarus as a search term seams to fall, which is incoherent with the download numbers. The amount of noise is too big. The problem is that any further specialization of the search term, like "Lazarus IDE" makes the searches too small to show a graph. And there is also the biblical figure named Lazarus... I also added Gtk to compare. Gtk is a pretty unique name, so I think that the graphs for Gtk, Free Pascal and Borland Delphi are correct. The Lazarus graph is wrong due to too much noise. -- Felipe Monteiro de Carvalho _______________________________________________ Lazarus mailing list [email protected] http://www.lazarus.freepascal.org/mailman/listinfo/lazarus
