Browsing the projects using Lazarus on the wiki, I got to http://www.ullihome.de/index.php/QFront I bet there are more on that page. And the most (all?) of the examples on http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Executing_External_Programs are GUIs calling console apps.
