To save you the trouble of creating custom snapshots, they can simply
use git to pull in the lazarus repository - instead of using SVN.
That way they can switch in seconds between my custom branch or the
clean upstream branch (which is exactly the same as SubVersion trunk).

When I am talking about snapshots, they are binary installers not for a
released version. I thought Git contains only the sources, not the
compiled installers (Mac OS X two cpu, linux two cpus, win32 and win64).
How can using Git avoid that trouble?
