Now I unchecked the "Hide Underlined Letters for Keyboard Navigation
Until ALT Key Is Pressed" option.
Win applications like wordpad and notepad always show the alt-shortcut
while lazarus never, neither when I press alt key.

Thunderbird and Firefox and these applications are not affected by
this option.
Maybe you should compile lazarus for gtk2 too. (I think Thunderbird
and Firefox are gtk2 applications, but I may be wrong)
