Hi All,

Just to share an experience that took me days....

I have this linux console application that runs fine on my dev.machine and on another machine I have at hand. I used a USB-stick to transfer the execuatable to the other machine. No problems.

However, for a couple of servers on a remote location I used an FTP-client to upload my executable.

Trying those uploaded programs via a terminal-client kept giving my "segmentation faults".

You don't wanna know how far I digged into libraries, kernel-settings, multi/single processor issues, path-settings, compiler-options, etc etc... must say I've learned a lot!

Finally figured out it was the ftp client that saw no extension in my executables filename and "assumed" an ASCII-transfer would do the job.... Not!
